SCATTERING
This program simulates scattering caused by charged particles. It is
possible to observe the paths of various particles simultaneosly and
change all problem parameters: speed and position of projectiles,
charge and number of deflecting particles, etc .
Instructions:
- Press Start and the program will run. It stops with Pause.
Returns to initial configuration with Stop. Every time that
you want to change
parameters you must press Start again.
- You can choose from different scattering pre-established situations in the
pop-up list.
- Initial, Distant, Particles and Veloc. are useful to change projectiles.
- Initial is an integer that indicates the position (in pixels)
of the first projectile from the upper border.
- Distant is the distance (in pixels) between two consecutive projectiles, it
must be a integer.
- Particles is the number of particles.
- Veloc.
is the velocity of all the projectiles, it is a floating
point value.
- dt is a floating point value that is
related
with the error; generally it is not necessary to changed it.
- Remove erases all the particles.
- If you want to add particles, choose: Electron (negative)
or Proton, (positive) then press Add and click the mouse
in the place where you add the particle.
- You can see the values of the parameters by pressing Data.
