It studies the energy spectrum of an impurity donor neutral D0 confined in a ring of quantum InAs/GaAs elliptically shaped and circular cross section. The study was done assuming that the electron is bound to move inside the ring, while the positively charged center is located in any point on the semi-major axis. The calculations of the energy spectrum are done assuming that the radius of the cross section is very small, compared to the average values for the major and minor semiaxes respectively. This comparison allows us to use the adiabatic approximation, with the aim of separating the slow movement of rotation around the axis of axial symmetry z and the rapid movement in the cross section. Our model is flexible enough to encompass the case of circular ring as a particular situation. The results for the case of equal major and minor semiaxes are in good agreement with limit cases.
